Good-bye to the Construction Cat

Yeah, he could be a little cranky...

and he ate too much grass, sometimes...

and he left a permanent mark in my fresh concrete...

This was one of his favourite places to lounge...

trying to make an escape...

We miss our construction cat. He died while we were eating dinner, it looked like he was having a stroke. He was 14, and I'm glad he didn't suffer. He will be missed by all.

So sorry about your cat but glad he didn't suffer. I think it's nice that you'll always have a reminder of him in your concrete.

Sorry about the cat, sounds like he liked the sound of the skill-saw and the fresh smell of drywall dust. What a cat.

Hi Derek and Deb,
I am a reporter with Global BC, working on a story today about consumers who have been charged PST on PST-exempt items at Home Depot. Apparently, a computer error has meant customers at BC Home Depot stores have been paying extra PST for the past 18 months. I found your blog through google, hoping you are concerned about this PST mistake, and willing to go on camera for an interview.
Thanks!

Oh.. so sorry to hear about your construction kitty's passing. We had a construction cat for years. She went patiently through reno after reno. She was the boss and over saw everything. I must say our reno's now have never been the same without her.
She past away as well. Best wishes, Susan :)

I keep coming back to this post. Saying goodbye to a pet is really tough. Good luck to you and yours, and bless your construction cat.

I hope that Kitty's construction might have completed and she'll be also happy in that place. Please share updated details about it.
